The Knights Templar were legendary warriors. In the mediaeval era, knight templars were undoubtedly a monastic military order. They established a headquarters on the sacred Temple Mount with the help of King Baldwin II of Jerusalem; and promised to protect Christian visitors to the city. The task of the Knights Templar was to protect pilgrims in Jerusalem and to travel to the Holy Land. Many castles or temples were built by the Knights Templar. La Rochelle: In the Middle Ages, the Knights Templar were professional traders. Dozens of ships carrying Templar treasures and knights sail from Templar ports along the Atlantic coast. For Templar ships arriving in France; La Rochelle was an important port of call.
Tomar: When fighting the Moors, Tomar became the order’s Portuguese headquarters. They built a planned city with multiple buildings; castles; and a convent complex to extend Portugal’s border into Moorish territory.

So, One of the most well-known Templar sites in Western Europe is London’s New Temple. The temple was consecrate in 1185 and served as the order’s headquarters in England. It depicts two knights riding on the same horse as a symbol.
