The Life of Hughes de Payens
Hugues de Payens, Co-founder and 1st Grand Master of the Knights Templar. Hugh is also known as Hugues de Payens or Hugues de Payns. They took part First Crusade that two hundred years between the Christian West and the Islamic Middle East for the control of Jerusalem.
Around 1118, Hugues de Payens founded with his eight relatives established order that became the poor knights of Christ, Temple of Solomon. During the Middle Ages, the Knights Templar were one of a number of military monastic Orders. They were defending the Christian pilgrims in Jerusalem and the Holy Land. With the help of Baldwin II, they established the holy Temple Mount.
Hugues de Payens, born in 1070, or died, in 1136. No one exactly knows that Hugues born in 1070. In 1118, the Knight community was formerly the Jewish-built Temple of Solomon in Jerusalem, and they took the name Knights Templars. This unofficial community was made a Catholic order of military monks ten years later, who vowed to live a simple life away from society and without family. The knight templars were the strongest fighting forces in the Holy Land.
The knight templars protect pilgrims until 1127. The king sent the knight to other countries to collect donations and support of the others. Clearly, the king was a good supporter of the Knights. He sent Bernard of Clairvaux, formally acknowledge the order, and to write the rule of the knight templars lives.
