The general consensus among Masonic scholars is that it descends directly or indirectly from the organization of operative stonemasons; who built the great cathedrals and castles of the middle ages. However; the claims of origin go further back to bronze age civilizations who were supposedly; built by Freemasons and from whom Freemasons actually claim their origins. And Masonic patronage is still shrouded in mystery however the masonic priests use several Masonic aprons, Masonic rings; hats, and wear. Thus; Masonic regalia is widely available in dedicated Masonic stores, and Masonic supply chains which host multiple masonic products.

What is the Origin of Freemasonry:

So, The origins of Freemasonry are not known definitively. National organized Freemasonry began in 1717 with the founding of; the Grand Lodge—an association of Masonic lodges—in England. However; Freemason societies have existed for much longer. The most popular theory; is that Freemasonry emerged out of the stonemasonry guilds of the Middle Ages also. Working stonemasons had lodges also.
